Chicago has been in my top 5 favorite cities list for a long time and this past weekend confirmed why. The people are great, the food puts you in a coma and the creative talent level is through the roof. After the long drive up there, we had a blast hanging with the fellas from The Post Family (pictured above) who hosted our Homework show in their gallery. You can see a shoddily done 360 panorama of the show here. There was a great turnout for the show and we sold a great deal of art, which always makes us happy.

I was sad to have to leave and get back down here to Austin for work, but am glad I got to spend a few days up there with The Post Family, who we felt were like our long lost brothers from another creative mother.

We arrived back in Austin yesterday feeling inspired and creatively refreshed. Now its back to the grindstone. I’ve got a busy next couple of weeks coming up. Stay tuned.

We’re cruisin’ through Missouri on our way to Chicago as I write this. Earlier, I was attempting to take a picture of this thing they have here in the Midwest called grass (which we have a very low supply of in Texas), but instead this couple of septuagenarians muddled up my plans. Safe travels you midwestern septuagenarians. Safe travels.

The fine folks that make up The Post Family in Chicago are hosting 4 shows at their gallery this year and we at PUBLIC SCHOOL were asked to be one of them. Titled Homework, it will be a collection of personal projects and other randomness from Cody Haltom, Will Bryant, Justin David Cox, Matthew Genitempo and myself. Casey Dunn might be contributing, dependent on how he does after his ACL tear repair surgery.
